The 2022 Annual Meeting of the Clary Lake Association is this coming Saturday, August 27th, at 2:00PM at the Clary Lake dam on Route 218 in Whitefield. The weather is supposed to be excellent. We’d like to start on-time so if you’re planning to join or renew your membership for the upcoming 2022/2023 Membership Year at the meeting, please arrive early! We’ll have a registration table setup by 12:30PM. Dues are $25 per member which entitles you to one vote on matters brought before the Membership. You can also signup or renew your membership online using our Secure Paypal gateway (our membership year runs from Annual Meeting to Annual Meeting). We’ll also be selling raffle tickets prior to the start of the meeting at 2PM. The raffle drawing will be held at the conclusion of the business meeting. We’ll be setting up some canopies to provide shade and should have enough chairs and tables for everyone but it can’t hurt to bring an extra folding chair or two, just in case. There’s a good section of field next to the dam property which can be used for parking. As usual, at the conclusion of the meeting there will be a potluck supper so bring some food to share- a casserole, a pot of beans, something you baked, or what have you. We’ll have bottle water, coffee, and a variety of drinks available and this year we’re going to setup a grill and provide hamburgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers (with all the fixings!) to supplement the usual offerings, which in recent years have tended to be a bit salad-heavy. Nothing wrong with salads of course. We love salads! We also love Swedish meatballs, baked beans, and pot-stickers 🙂
We had hoped to be able to host the meeting on Zoom for our members who can’t be here with us in person, and to that end we tried to set up a WiFi hotspot but sadly, it turns out there wasn’t sufficient bandwidth available using a cellphone connection to the internet to make that smooth and reliable. We’re exploring options for providing extended Wifi coverage at the dam in the future, but it won’t be happening this year. Sorry!
