The Watershed Survey Committee was formed last year and was charged completing an update of our 2001 Watershed Survey. At the time DEP did not have the staff necessary to oversee our effort but that has changed! We will be conducting a survey this coming year. Here’s a DEP document explaining Watershed Surveys in considerable. It’s from 2011, but the information is still relevant and many of the procedures have been updated:
The Planning Committee chair is Board member Malcolm Burson. Other members are current President Gareth Bowen and Secretary George Fergusson, Board members Dave Knight and Jack Holland, and Members at Large Carolyn Curtis, and Paul Devlin.
When it comes to actually conducting the field work of the survey, we’re going to need a lot of volunteers.
