- Avian Haven Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center in Freedom Maine. These folks are taking care of one of our loons. You can also check out their Facebook page.
- Tufts University Loon Health & Mortality Information. This is the definitive page with information about loons, loon health, and loon mortality. Dead loons from all over the country go to Tufts University for necropsy and analysis.
- The Maine Audubon Society hosts the Maine Audubon Loon Project. Clary Lake Association members have been participating in the annual Loon count for years. The loon count is currently headed up by Mary Shaw.
- Land for Maine’s Future page of the Natural Resources Council of Maine
- The Washington Lakes Watershed Association Good looking web site, sounds like an active group of lake shore owners. We should get together for a picnic or something.
- The Maine Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program The Clary Lake Association has been involved with the VLMP since 1975 (check out our VLMP page). This summer, the Association is partnering with the VLMP and the Damariscotta Lake Watershed Association to bring their series of Invasive Plants Patrol workshops to Lincoln County. - The Town of Whitefield has a new website and they’ve just begun publishing a monthly newsletter starting with the July 2013 issue. There are instructions there how to sign up to receive the newsletter by email.
